Industrial plugs, sockets, and couplers are mainly divided into four categories: plugs, sockets, connectors, and appliance input sockets. Generally referred to as industrial plugs and sockets.
Industrial plugs and sockets have the following characteristics:
1. Safe and reliable
(1) This type of product uses the color of the casing to indicate the rated voltage, such as blue representing 220V and red representing 380V, which is clear at a glance and easily distinguishable without any confusion.
(2) The diameter, number of poles, and position of grounding contacts vary for products of different specifications. Only the same specification can be inserted to prevent accidental insertion.
(3) Equipped with electric shock protection. The grounding electrode sleeve in the socket is longer than the phase and neutral electrode sleeves, which ensures that the grounding electrode is connected before the phase electrode is connected during plug insertion, and when pulled out, the grounding electrode is finally disconnected, making it very safe to use.
(4) High protection level. There are IP44 splash proof, IP67 immersion proof, etc. Not only can the human body not reach live parts, but it can also be used under different environmental conditions to ensure safety.
(5) Elastic clamps are added to the insertion sleeve. Ensure tight contact, good conductivity, and long service life after inserting the plug.
(6) There is a retention device that allows the plugs and sockets to be tightly clamped together to prevent detachment, greatly improving reliability.
(7) There is a cable clamping device that can clamp the outer skin of the cable to prevent it from being pulled off, ensuring safe use.
2. Durable
(1) Good mechanical performance, the product shell is made of high-quality nylon, which has high strength, impact resistance, and is not afraid of falling or stepping. All rubbers and plastics are anti-aging, which can be used not only indoors, but also outdoors, and are durable.
(2) Heat resistant and flame resistant. The shell and internal insulation components have heat resistance, with a temperature of up to (100 ± 5) ℃, and important components can withstand (125 ± 5) ℃; And it has flame retardancy.
(3) More durable for plug and unplug use. For products with a rated current of 16A, the normal number of plug and unplug operation cycles is more than 5000 times.
(4) The temperature rise test section of conductive contact components (pins, sleeves) exceeds 50K and is suitable for long-term use.
3. Strong universality
The product adopts the GB/T 11918-11919-2001 standard, which is also equivalent to the IEC 60309-1/2 standard and fully in line with international standards. Therefore, this type of product is commonly used both domestically and internationally. Meanwhile, it has a wide variety of specifications and can meet various occasions and purposes.
These characteristics of industrial plugs and sockets make them highly safe, reliable, and internationally applicable. Therefore, it has gradually received attention in China. Through more than a decade of continuous promotion and application, industrial plugs and sockets have entered various industries, such as electricity, construction, port terminals, machinery industry, and modern large-scale buildings.
